One Piece is a manga written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The Italian edition is edited by Star Comics, which began publishing it in comics corresponding to the Japanese volumes on July 1, 2001. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body has taken on the properties of rubber after inadvertently ingesting the Gom Gom Devil Fruit. Gathering a crew around him, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure One Piece and pursuing the dream of becoming the new Pirate King.
The Shusui is one of the twenty-one O-rank Wazamomo swords of the samurai Ryuma. Zoro won it in battle during the Thriller Bark arc. Zoro had just lost the Yubashiri, a sword given to him by Ipponmatsu, along with the Sandai Kitetsu, to the Navy Captain Shu, who had the power to rust metals. Shu managed to destroy the Yubashiri, leaving Zoro with two swords. Zoro then encountered Ryuma's zombie, along with the Shusui, which had Brook's shadow attached to it, making Ryuma even more fearsome. After a fierce battle, the Straw Hat Crew swordsman prevailed, making the Shusui his own.
