Destiny: The Taken King, the next major adventure in the Destiny first-person shooter universe, introduces a new campaign and story missions, new enemies, new environments to explore, new Strikes and Crucible maps, a new Raid that will put players to the test, and more. Players can prepare for the challenge with three new subclasses and a huge arsenal of weapons, armor, and gear.

A NEW ENEMY AWAITS YOU

A dark shadow is falling over our worlds. Blinded by vengeance, Oryx, the Taken King, is manipulating the Darkness to create a cursed army of “Taken.” Find a way aboard the impenetrable Dreadnaught and defeat him before his dark army consumes our civilization and destroys the solar system.

POWERFUL NEW ABILITIES

To fight on equal terms with the Darkness and the Taken army, players will receive new subclasses with new super abilities. Warlocks will have the power of an electrical storm at their disposal, Hunters will be able to wield a bow crafted from gravitational void energy, and Titans will be able to summon a flaming hammer to scorch their enemies from a distance or devastate them in melee.

NEW CAMPAIGN

A massive Hive Dreadnaught looms over the rings of Saturn. Oryx, the Taken King, has arrived in our solar system, bringing with him an army of the damned to exact revenge on the Guardians who destroyed his son Crota and consume our worlds. Arm yourself with new abilities, weapons, and gear. Defeat the Taken hordes. Board the Dreadnaught and confront Oryx in his hidden sanctum.

NEW ACTIVITIES

Take on new Strikes by defeating powerful bosses, complete additional quests to earn powerful gear, and prove your worth in the next Incursion that will test six-player teams.

ORYX, THE TAKEN KING

Some scholars believe that it was the evil “spawn” of Oryx that first rose from the post-apocalyptic ashes. The brood grew, and soon the first swarming hordes of Hive monsters, loyal to their king and hailing from the depths of our worlds, emerged. Among them was Crota, the god-knight, whose brood poisoned our Moon.

Crota and his army would soon have plagued the Earth, had it not been for Eris Morn and the Guardians who heeded her warnings. Now Crota is dead, broken in body and soul by your hand.

Oryx, possessed of dark and unimaginable power, is coming with vengeance.
