Developed by Guerrilla Games, Killzone 2 is the highly anticipated first-person shooter created exclusively for the PLAYSTATION 3. The sequel transports players to a highly detailed, ultra-realistic theater of war, taking full advantage of the processing power of the PS3. Picking up on the events and storyline of the first Killzone for PlayStation 2, two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is moving the front to the enemy's homeworld of Helghan. The ISA's objective is simple: capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, to bring their war machine to a halt. As Sev, a battle-hardened veteran and member of the elite special forces unit known as the Legion, players will command a team of highly trained soldiers on a mission to annihilate the Helghast threat. But for Sev and his team, the invasion of Helghan is only the beginning. In their attempt to conquer the capital city of Pyrrhus, the team soon discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adapted to the planet's harsh conditions, but they have also harnessed a powerful energy source to use against the ISA. Sev realizes that his team must fight not just the enemy forces, but the planet itself.
