Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends are ready to jump on their airboards, adapted to their individual abilities, to face the terrifying challenge of their arch-nemesis, Dr. Eggman. The evil doctor has challenged the racers to battle it out in a grueling World Grand Prix, and has put an extremely rare Chaos Emerald up for grabs.
Among the wild landscapes of the Sonic universe, performing extraordinary tricks and acrobatics, the player's aim will be to snatch the emerald from the clutches of Dr. Eggman and his famous gang of runners, the Band of Thieves: Babylon.
Characteristics:
Extreme and acrobatic racing: vast courses to set ablaze on board the airboard, battling with human or computer-controlled opponents, and performing amazing stunts to obtain bonuses;
revolutionary slipstream effect: opponents generate half-pipe style turbulence on the course: using it will be the secret to gaining an advantage;
a cast of familiar characters and plenty of new faces – all with unique abilities and to be discovered in the immense story mode;
