Initially sent to watch over the destruction of the planet Earth, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have been betrayed by their own Master, stripped of their powers and sent to the mainland.

The player takes on the role of War – the first of the Four Horsemen – on a brutal mission of revenge against the forces that betrayed him, with only his phantom steed RUIN at his side.
