Unlike the Lumiose City we know today, which first appeared in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y in 2013, this new version of the city is characterized by its greenery and contemporary buildings. In the heart of Lumiose City, popular places like arcades, cafés, and restaurants coexist harmoniously with more natural areas, like canal banks and lush parks. At the center of Lumiose City stands Prism Tower, the city's emblem.
It all starts with a tour of Lumiose City : During your travels, you have decided to stop in Lumiose City and stay in an old hotel, the Z Hotel. This will be your base while you experience a thousand adventures through the streets of the city together with your new friends.
Wild Areas, Home of Wild Pokémon : In line with the urban development plan, entrusted to a large company called Q-asar Inc., some areas have been converted into the so-called "wild areas" in an attempt to transform the city into a welcoming place for both people and Pokémon. These areas were created thanks to the use of cutting-edge technology, in order to create spaces in which Pokémon can live. Inside, you can have fun battling with Pokémon and catching them by throwing your Poké Balls.
Turn Pokémon into valuable allies : To catch wild Pokémon living in the wild or around Lumiose City, simply aim well and throw a Poké Ball. If the Pokémon doesn't come out of the Poké Ball, you're done! Some Pokémon will run away as soon as they notice you, so try to hide well or sneak up on them from behind. You can also battle Pokémon to reduce their HP, making it easier to catch them.
New Features: Pokémon and Trainers Decide What to Do in Real Time During Battles . Previous Pokémon games in the Pokémon video game series featured turn-based battles. For the first time, Trainers and their Pokémon will be able to move freely in real time during battles in Pokémon Legends: ZA, and Trainers will tell the Pokémon when to use a move. In addition to the usual type relationships, you'll also have to consider new gameplay mechanics, such as the precise timing of switching out Pokémon or using moves, how quickly different moves are used, and the size of the area they affect. These brand-new battle mechanics are one of the most exciting new features in this game.
