Near and Light are now at war. Near's doubts about Light's guilt are almost certain, and Light, knowing he is being hunted, tries in every way to deflect the accusations and simultaneously eliminate his new rival. Near's accusations are also starting to have an effect among the members of the headquarters, once again insinuating in their minds the hypothesis that Light is Kira. Light's new plan consists in giving up his Death Note again, this time to a faithful supporter of his ideas.
