MotorStorm is a 'brutal' off-road racing title and a completely new take on racing games, in which the player drives one of seven vehicles in challenging and dangerous races. Hundreds of driving maniacs race across the vast expanses of sand, arid soil and rock of Monument Valley under a scorching sun: this is the backdrop to the MotorStorm festival. Motorcycles, ATVs, Buggies, rally cars, racing trucks, mudpluggers, and big rigs are all available to the player, who must choose the best route for the vehicle by driving along the edge of a cliff, flying over crevasses and taking shortcuts in the valley. Bringing out their fighting instincts, the contenders can send their opponents off the road with the exceptional realism ensured by 'ragdoll' physics.
