in season 1 of arcane, two opposing cities, zaun and piltover, are the stage for the clash between sisters vi and powder (who will take the pseudonym jinx), orphaned at a young age. after the accidental death, at the hands of powder, of vander, a bartender who raised them, the two sisters separate and undertake two radically opposite paths of growth: piltover signs a peace agreement with zaun, jinx transforms a hextech gem into a rocket to fire on the council. in arcane 2, there will be a search for jinx by vi, aided by caitlyn, a member of the piltover police with whom she has established a sincere alliance. the book will have an acetate case that, when removed, will show an alternate version of the artwork on the case.
