Despite being an orphan, Tanjiro lives peacefully with his mother and five siblings, working and doing his best to support them all. After spending the night out selling coal, Tanjiro finds himself facing the worst of nightmares: during his absence, all his loved ones have been massacred, and the only survivor, his sister Nezuko, has been transformed into a creature of darkness. Thus begins his journey as a demon hunter, in search of the killer and a cure for Nezuko.
