Activision has finally revealed some details about the game, announcing that Transformers: The Game is currently in development by developers Traveller's Tales (responsible for the Lego Star Wars series), and that it is an action game scheduled for release on PC, PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. It will be coming this summer to all platforms, with the different versions only differing in terms of technical implementation, with no variations in content.
The game will follow the story of the film, giving the possibility to use both the Autobots and the Destructors, who will obviously have opposing goals on the fate of the Earth.
The number of usable characters is still unknown, but among them there will certainly be Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee and Ironhide, each with their own characteristics and the ability to transform at any time.
The game's scenario, according to the developers, will be entirely destructible, and there will also be the possibility of using pieces of scenery and rubble as weapons.
