Call of Duty: Ghosts delivers a riveting new gameplay experience built on an all-new story, setting, and cast of characters, all powered by a new, next-generation Call of Duty engine that redefines the series.

This new chapter of the saga will boast a renewed graphic sector, thanks to the technology called Sub D that will make the game much more realistic, increasing the number of polygons available, so faces, weapons and landscapes modeled to perfection so much so that they seem real. Speaking of weapons, the developers have made significant progress, improving the aim in particular the crosshair that appears completely circular, this is because a greater number of polygons have been used.

The game will be set in a near future written by Stephen Gaghan, the same writer of Traffic. The protagonist will have to deal with a new, unreleased technology, exploited by the enemies.

Speaking of multiplayer, there will be dynamic maps, so players could be killed at any moment by floods, glaciations and all sorts of environmental catastrophes. For example, by placing explosives in the right places, it is possible to experience earthquakes or falling rocks.

Last but certainly not least, there is the presence of a dog that will accompany the player in the single player mode.

Single player campaign

Ten years after a devastating mass event, America's borders and the balance of global power have been forever redrawn. A mysterious group known as "Ghosts," all that remains of the country's elite forces, leads the fight against a new, technologically advanced global power.

A New Call of Duty Universe: For the first time in franchise history, Call of Duty: Ghosts players will assume the role of the underdog; outnumbered and outgunned, they must fight to reclaim a fallen nation through a thrilling and intense storyline. Players will discover new characters and locations in a world unlike anything seen in Call of Duty® before.

Multiplayer

In Call of Duty: Ghosts, for the first time you can create a custom soldier, not just a class. With the Create-A-Soldier system, players can customize their soldier's physical appearance, from head, body, helmet, and loadout to gender for the first time in a Call of Duty® game. With over 20,000 possible combinations, it's the most comprehensive and flexible character customization in Call of Duty history.

Dynamic maps are the next evolution of multiplayer. They contain player-triggered events that transform the environment in real time. The map can reshape itself and require new tactical and strategic approaches.

Call of Duty: Ghosts introduces new tactical movement. The new contextual aiming system allows you to look over obstacles without button combinations or having to leave cover. You can climb and slide fluidly over obstacles without losing momentum. The new slide allows you to quickly crouch and prone while sprinting.

Call of Duty: Ghosts boasts over 20 NEW Killstreaks, including Juggernaut Maniac, Scout Chopper, Vulture, and ODIN Bombing. Players can also deploy Riley, the battle dog from the single-player campaign, to protect them and attack enemies. Additionally, there are over 30 NEW weapons, including a new class: the DMR rifle.

Teams

Create your squad and lead up to 6 members into battle in the new Squads mode, which combines the best features of multiplayer and lets you play solo or co-op with soldiers you've created and leveled up in multiplayer.

The choices you make for your squad members' loadouts will affect the AI's behavior. Giving your teammates a sniper rifle will make them act like snipers, while giving them a submachine gun will make them adopt hit-and-run tactics.
