The ‘Braking Point’ story mode is back with an all-new thrilling chapter featuring new rivalries and even more drama in F1® 23.

Konnersport Butler F1 Racing Team
The story focuses on the Konnersport Butler F1® Racing Team, a fictional new team on the grid, and spans the 2022 and 2023 F1® seasons. Rising young star Aiden Jackson is at odds with his bold and arrogant veteran teammate Devon Butler. When one of their futures is threatened by a personal issue, Devon’s sister and recent F2® champion Callie Mayer steps in. To bring Callie’s story to life, the narrative team turned to British racing driver Jamie Chadwick and SkySports F1® reporter Natalie Pinkham. Team Principal Casper Akkerman must negotiate team and family dynamics, and the manipulations of Devon and Callie’s father (and key team sponsor, Davidoff Butler). As your point of view shifts between different characters, the story progresses through gameplay and cinematic cutscenes and is driven by your choices.

The all-new F1® World is your new hub for a variety of daily, weekly and ever-evolving seasonal content and events with an all-new driver level progression system for your own personalised tour of Formula 1®.

New Events
Complete new challenges and access a range of different competitive Solo Series designed to take you on a single-player journey across a variety of modes, tracks and experiences in F1® 23. Master different tracks, hone your driving skills, explore F2® content, compete in Supercar Invitationals and more. Single-player and multiplayer events include a range of daily, weekly and seasonal events for solo players and multiplayer fans alike. From Multiplayer Grand Prix to Race Week celebrations and Time Trials, there’s something for everyone, every day of the week.

Technical level
Upgrade your F1® World car throughout the season with a new Tech Level progression system. Complete challenges, race online and play in updated events throughout the season to earn in-game upgrades to increase your Tech Level, which represents the performance of your F1® World car. As your Tech Level increases, your car’s performance increases and you gain the ability to compete in more challenging events. You can still take part in events above your Tech Level, but the challenge will be greater as a result. The best players will be able to surpass their car’s Tech Level, but only to a certain extent.

Updates
Earn upgrades and spend time tinkering in the Garage to customize and develop your F1® World car to make it faster and more powerful as you progress. Upgrades in F1® World are split into two categories: Car Parts and Team Member Upgrades. Car Parts increase your car’s in-game performance. Team Member Upgrades can be upgraded through a Contract system for extra “equipable” items to further enhance your performance.

Creation
A new crafting system in F1® World lets you apply resources to blueprints to create various upgrades, as well as crafting contracts to equip for game mods, new stickers you can collect and add to your compendium, and more.

Licensing system
A new licensing system promotes clean racing across the F1® world and rewards players for responsible driving.

Ranked Multiplayer Renewed
F1® World introduces a revamped Ranked Multiplayer mode with a new Division-based ranking system, the F1® 23 Esports Series and a new objectives system that streamlines your Podium Pass progression. Play to earn points, climb the ranks from Bronze to Elite with weekly promotions and earn rewards and upgrades that can be applied to your skill level.

Compendium
As you complete the challenges of your F1® journey, commemorate your progress with a new Compendium, your very own virtual sticker album celebrating all things Formula 1®, past and present. Play, earn stickers, post them in the Compendium and complete images to earn more rewards and prizes.

Game
Refined handling, better rides

For more predictable behavior on the track, new vehicle physics give F1® cars better traction when braking, accelerating and turning. Feedback from the real F1® team has been incorporated into adjustments to the balance between aerodynamic grip and tire grip, resulting in a more realistic feel and smoother ride. With improved engine torque and inertia changes, throttle response is more authentic and easier to adjust.

Precision Drive™ Controller Technology
Race wheel-to-wheel with greater control, precision and finesse thanks to a technological rewrite of the controller that gives controller players more confidence in crucial moments.

Red flags
The new Red Flag feature adds a genuine strategic element to every race day in F1® 23.

Race distance 35%.
A new 35% Race Distance option allows for realistic race strategy and setup where tyre wear remains a key factor without committing too much time to each race.

New Grand Prix of Las Vegas and Qatar
Test your talent in all-new authentically recreated Formula 1® destinations as the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix and Qatar Grand Prix join the F1® 23 race calendar. Fly around the fast street circuit under the iconic lights of the Las Vegas Strip and race around the Lusail International Circuit on the outskirts of the desert city of Doha.
