Heroes of Ruin is a classic dungeon crawler with a few twists, and it’s available exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. This role-playing game from Square Enix and n-Space Inc. was created specifically for Nintendo 3DS, allowing you to adventure alone or play online for a thrilling multiplayer experience.

The war had been raging for decades when some powerful leaders decided to withdraw from the conflict. These Lords established a fragile peace, managing to keep any threat of disharmony under control. But when Lord Atraxis, ruler of the city of Nexus, falls ill and is struck by a terrible curse, the already precarious balance seems to return to bloodshed. Thus, an appeal is made throughout the fortified city, with the promise of immeasurable rewards for anyone who manages to find a cure for the disease.

In the depths of the city, where mercenaries and fighters for sale lurk, such an offer is something to be carefully considered. From these dark corners emerge four mercenaries to form an uneasy and terrifyingly deadly alliance. They will venture far beyond the fragile walls of the bastion city into the twisted world outside. A world full of dangers, inhabited by strange creatures where these mercenary heroes will hunt down the evil behind the curse and, together, put an end to it forever.

Your adventure will take you outside the city walls, into wild places where you will encounter many different creatures, having various fighting styles and abilities at your disposal. From elegant and elusive swordsmen, to huge and lumbering brutes, your tactical and combat skills will be put to the test at every turn.

To get started, however, you must first choose between four different types of characters:

Gunslinger - A reformed criminal with a shady past. Don't ask him too many questions about the enormous debts he owes, or who owes them to. He's an elusive fighter and commands the use of bombs and guns.

Vindicator - Having lost prestige in the eyes of his order, the Vindicator seeks redemption. Forced to do penance, he desires only justice and destroys his enemies with a mighty sword.

Alchitect - Driven by a burning desire to find her place among the most powerful spellcasters on earth, this student of magic from a remote academy uses cunning, tactics, and devastatingly destructive spells.

Savage - This giant, razor-fisted brute has been cast out from his tribe and seeks power strong enough to return to his people in the light of undeniable glory.

Once you have chosen your character type, you can immediately modify their appearance to give them your personal touch. Over the course of your adventures, your character will develop based on the choices you make. In this way, your armor, your fighting style, your skills and various other elements will also evolve to become unique.

The world is a dynamic place where you will discover original designs, new paths in the environment and experience new enemy encounters every time. You can venture out of the city alone or team up with three friends in a team of up to four mercenaries to play in online co-op mode, joining the group at any time, and using the microphone to chat in real time with your teammates to plan strategies.

Heroes of Ruin takes advantage of the capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS to offer players, in addition to stereoscopic 3D graphics, a continuous flow of new and exciting content without having to lift a finger. The SpotPass functionality will provide challenges and exclusive content for your system, expanding your adventure every day. StreetPass instead allows you to trade unwanted items with other players and allows you to gradually unlock new weapons, armor and items.
