PES 2014

The team at PES Productions have started from scratch and created a football title that is set to become the industry benchmark. It will also feature state-of-the-art graphics and in-game animations. PES 2014 will be able to perfectly recreate the moves, playing styles and on-field experience that characterise the world's greatest players.

PES 2014 will be based on six new features that will make it the pinnacle of football simulations and that will impact the way players receive and control the ball and the game physics, allowing to recreate all those emotions that are at the basis of the most beautiful sport in the world.

TrueBall Tech.

Trueball Tech rebuilds the concept of ball physics from the ground up, giving players true control of the ball. For the first time in a football simulation, the movement of the ball will be completely independent from that of the players, yet influenced by their slightest intervention, highlighting the different approaches with which the players control and strike it. Players will have to control the movements, bounces, speed and spin of the ball to fully master all the advanced features of PES 2014.

Motion Animation Stability System (MASS)

PES 2014 will place particular emphasis on individual “battles” between two opposing players: the MASS technology is able to perfectly simulate the clashes between players, as well as any potential arguments thanks to extremely fluid animations. Instead of a predefined series of animations that repeat themselves repetitively in similar game circumstances, MASS creates different animations based on factors such as the direction and intensity of a tackle, physical strength and size of the players.

Heart

Home or away. The chants of the fans. The support of teammates. Everything affects the emotional state of the player and the entire team. The emotional factor plays a decisive role in the course of a match and can represent the “twelfth man on the pitch” of a team. PES 2014 will introduce the emotional effect on individual players and entire formations on the pitch. Each player will engage their mental attributes, in addition to their stylistic abilities and skills, which can also have a negative psychological impact when things on the pitch do not go the right way.

PES ID

PES 2013 defined a new level of realism in football video games thanks to the introduction of Player ID technology. With PES 2014, the movements that characterize the greatest players in the world are faithfully replicated: the champions will be immediately recognizable even by the way they run or by their style of play.

Team Play

Thanks to the innovative “Combination Plan” function, gamers will be able to set up a wide variety of specific tactics to be used in certain areas of the pitch with the participation of three or more players who will perform movements without the ball to cover the uncovered areas of the pitch in defence or midfield. Positions and movements can be programmed in advance, in specific areas of the pitch, to exploit the weak points of the opposing team.

The Core

PES Productions has been listening to the opinions of PES and football fans for years to gain ideas that allow us to reproduce the key elements of this sport more faithfully and all this valuable feedback will materialize in further improvements to the gameplay compared to the previous episode.

Graphically, the game will benefit from an extraordinary level of detail that can be seen in every component of PES 2014, from the reproduction of the texture of the fabrics of the game's kits to the facial movements of the players and a new series of fluid animations and transitions. The stadiums will be identical to their real-life counterparts in every minute detail, even down to the position of the players' entrances on the pitch, the crowd will move in the stands during the match. The graphics will make use of "light-mapping" technology that will add even more realism to the matches.
